Usually we don’t like to eat bitter gourd because of its bitter taste and its seeds. However bitter gourd has got many good nutrients.
Bitter gourd contains:-

  • Iron,
  • Vitamins A, B1 and B2.
Eating bitter gourd enhances:-
  • Digestion,
  • Metabolism of Carbohydrates,
  • Blood Circulation,
  • Immunity.
Bitter gourd controls:-
  • Hyper Tension,
  • Fever,
  • Cough,
  • Purity of Blood,
  • Worms in stomache,
  • Jaundice,
  • Liver diseases, Liver damage due to alcohol,
  • Skin Problems,
  • Blood and Urine Sugar,
  • Eye Problems and
  • Boils, Itching, Ringworm.

Bitter gourd must be eaten regularly, to have the health benefits of the rare vegetable. The seeds of the bitter gourd have some nutrients; however, we must remove the seeds and fry to have a delicious side dish in our meals.
