The Malayalam Film Super Star Padma Shri. Mammootty has acted in more than 300 films, mainly in Malayalam. He has appeared in some films in other languages such as:-

• Kannada,

• Hindi.

Mr.Mammootty has been awarded 'National Award' for his three films including one English film “Dr.Ambedkar” and two Malayalam films.

The University of Calicut has decided to confer an honorary D.Litt, Doctorate Degree on him for his achievement in Malayalam Cinema.
