The present Chief of DMK party and the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu had hinted that after the “Kovai Tamil Semmozhi Conference” in June 2010 he would retire from active politics and involve himself in the direct services to the people of Tamilnadu and concentrate more on his ‘Literary Works’.
The succession war among the sons of Mr.M.Karunanidhi appeared to be resolved after .Mr.M.K.Azhagiri was inducted in the Central Cabinet as ‘Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers’ andMr.M.K.Stalin was made the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamilnadu.
However, Mr.M.K.Azhagiri has said that he would not accept anybodyelse other than Mr.M.Karunanidhi as his ‘Leader’ or “The Leader of DMK”.
We have wait and see how Mr.M.Karunanidhi would solve this critical situation which may affect the future of his ‘Kazhagam’ and the fate of ‘Politics in Tamilnadu’.
