STD in BSNL Landline Becomes Cheaper

Tuesday, November 30, 2010

Here is a good news to Telephone Landline users in India as announced by Honble. Minister of State for Communications and IT Mr.Sachin Pilot. Till now, for Local Calls in BSNL the pulse rate was 3 minutes. Hereafter, STD Calls from one Landline Number/WLL to another Landline Number/WLL in the networks having less than 10 digit numbers anywhere in India will become cheaper from 01st December 2010, as the pulse-rate of STD Call will be increased form 1 minute to 3 minutes. The charges for one pulse will range from 80 paise to Rs.1.20 depending upon the Tariff Plan of the Landline of the Subscriber.

In view of the tough competition from the Private Telephone and Mobile Phone providers in India and the present burning problem faced by the Government’s Tele-Communications Sector- the “2G Scam” , the Bharat Sanchar Nigam ltd.(BSNL) is forced to take such attractive steps to retain the existing customers and attract new customers.
