United Progressive Alliance (UPA), under the Chairmanship of the President of the Indian National Congress, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi was re-elected to power in May 2009. Dr.Manmohan Singh formed his ‘Cabinet of Ministers’ which took oath on 22nd/28th May 2009. After 20 months, Dr.Manmohan Singh has made a reshuffle in his cabinet on 19th January 2011. As mentioned by the Prime Minister, it is only a 'minor reshuffle'. Obviously, Dr.Singh is having plans for a 'major reshuffle' after the Budget-Session of the Parliament.
