Keep Blood Sugar under control to avoid complications

Diabetes Patients may get the following complications, when blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol are out of control :-
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Blindness/ Cataracts/ Glaucoma
  • Amputation
  • Kidney failure
In case of uncontrolled diabetes, a serious and deep-seated foot infection can lead to loss of a toe, foot, or leg amputation to save the patient’s life. High blood sugar will slowly injure the blood vessels, nerves, and organs in the body.

The damage will be high if the blood sugar is high. Smoking and alcohol will increase the risk manifold.

Reduced blood flow to nerves combined with high blood sugar will result in nerve pain, burning, numbness.

The complications of High Blood Sugar can be kept under control by keeping the Blood Sugar level under control.

Most of the High Blood Sugar/Diabetes Patients normally do not notice or realize that they are having high blood sugar.

You and I think some body else is a Diabetic patient and we do not realize we can also have High Blood Sugar.

Awareness must be created in the minds of people on the complications of Diabetes and the diagnosis and treatment of Diabetes must be done before it becomes late.
