The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has proposed to construct a temple to Lord Venkateswara at Chennai. The proposed temple will be similar to the temple at Tirupati, with all facilities like:-
  • Tonsuring

  • Library
The Chennai Venkateswara temple will be constructed in ten acres of land situated in the East Coast Road. The Board of TTD will seek the Tamilnadu Government’s help in the matter of procuring the land for the proposed temple.

The Chennai Venkateswara temple is to cater to thousands of pilgrims from various southern states, including Tamilnadu, who have to wait for a long time in Tirumala for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
