Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh will lead India’s delegation to the Multilateral Summit on 24th and 25th September 2009 in Pittsburgh in USA and the other delegates are:-
- Depty Chirman of the Planning Commission Mr.Montek Singh Ahluwalia
Foreign Secretary Ms.Nirupama Rao told reporters that India would also advocate reforms of the international financial institutions like World Bank and Internal Monetary Fund to keep pace with the ground realities of the changing world.
Along with these issues, reforms of the global governance institutions such as UN Security Council will figure in the summit that will be attended by the US President Mr.Barrack Obama and other world leaders and in the current session of the United Nations General Assembly(UNGA).
As Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh is not going to attend the UNGA Session this year, the External Affairs Minister Mr.S M Krishna will be heading the Indian delegation to the UNGA.
